Some information for tourist.

Sri-Sri Madan Mahan Ziub Kali Mandir  is situated at Gobindaganj Upazila under the district of Gaibandha. It is approximately half kilometer away from Raja Biratnagar. A banyan tree and pond is situated just in front of the Mandir Complex. Everyday many tourist from different places come to visit here. Specially, in the month of Boishakh a fair is celebrated here.

How to go

You have to go to Gobindaganj Upazila. Then you have to hire a CNG to go to Shorgachi. From Shorgachi, you can manage a rickshaw to go to Biratnagar.




Bardhan Kuthi  is one of the historical places of Gaibandha district. It is situated near the Gobindaganj Upazila of Gaibandha. During the reign of British East-India company  ruled the Bardhan Kuthi. During the separation of Indian subcontinent the last Ruler of Bardhan kuthi Raja Shoilesh Chandra Migrated to India from Bangladesh.
Due to the establishment of Gobindaganj college in this place, We can only observe the relics of Bardhan Kuthi. But it demands more research and discussion, By which we can discover the continuation of distinguish dynasty in Bardhan Kuthi. We may also reveal the valuable information of contemporary Zamindar’s and their lifestyle as well.

How to go

If you want to reach Bardhan Kuthi, first you have to go Gobindaganj Upazila. After reaching there just take a Auto Rickshaw or Rickshaw to go Bardhan Kuthi.

Gaibandha was under Sector 11

Area - Mymensingh District and Tangail District along with parts of Rangpur District, Gaibandha District, Ulipur Upazila|Ulipur, Kamalpur and Chilmari Upazila.

History of Gaibandha district

History:This region was a part of the Mourya, Pala, Gupta and Kamarupa kingdoms at different times. Movement was held in 1783 in this district against collection of excess taxes. Anti British movement (1921) and tebhaga movement (1946) were initiated in the district. Fayezuddin and Puti Sheikh were killed by Police firing in 1949 in a movement to stop collection of tolls at hats and bazars. A Peasant Convention was held at Fulchhari in 1956 under the leadership of maulana abdul hamid khan bhasani.

Roshmonjuri




Some small sweet balls which are made of pure chana under the thick, juicy and sweet milk are called Roshmonjuri. Roshmonjuri is very much tasty and mind blowing.
